Standard Claims Procedure

Generally, reports or notification of all incidents of loss should be reported immediately to the nearest branch of Agostini Insurance Brokers Limited.

Subsequent to this, notice in writing must be sent within fifteen (15) days of the loss or incident, which may give rise to a claim. Any documents required to substantiate the loss must also be submitted at this time.

  • We will contact your Insurer immediately after it has been determined under which line of coverage your loss falls.
  • We will co-ordinate site inspections and meetings with all parties involved in the incident.
  • We will document our claims tracking system to co-ordinate claims administration and management.

In addition, our services will include:

  • Negotiations with Insurers (or their representatives) in setting out the statements of the claim.
  • The interpretation of the policy terms and conditions as applied to the loss.
  • Most importantly, the negotiated settlement value, and the collection of agreed monetary settlement.
  • Recovery of uninsured losses.
  • The implementation of Loss Control and Loss Prevention procedures to avoid further losses.
